Preite Forno Artigianale

Handmade biscuits, taralli and baked goods from Salento, made to our grandmothers' recipes since 1987.

Our story

Preite Forno Artigianale has been baking in Casarano, Salento, since 1987. Founder Emiliano Preite makes sweet and savoury baked goods by hand to old family recipes: biscuits, taralli, mustaccere, almond pastries, friselle and crostini, with top-quality local ingredients.

Since 1987 Preite Forno Artigianale has made sweet and savoury baked goods its strength and its art. Everything is made by hand by its founder, Emiliano Preite, who every day bakes with passion products known for their lightness and flavour, letting the ingredients speak for themselves.

It all starts with the raw materials: local and Italian ingredients of the highest quality, from the area whenever possible, chosen with great care. Modern equipment helps, but the recipes are the old ones of “our grandmothers”, the taste of the Salento tradition: small creations from the past that come back to life every day.

The range covers the classics of Apulian baking and more: biscuits, taralli and tocchetti (also with Primitivo wine), glazed and chocolate mustaccere, almond pastries, pitteddhe filled with quince, grape or fig, shortbread, panettoni and colombe for the holidays, and savoury friselle and crostini. Production also runs on energy from renewable sources.
