Description
Verdeca Brioso, which the producer describes with notes of fresh grass and sea salt.
Tinente Verdeca Brioso is a Salento IGP from 100% Verdeca grown on Guyot around Copertino. The grapes are softly crushed and pressed, the skins removed right away, and the juice fermented in steel below 15°C before resting in temperature-controlled tanks. The producer notes a bright greenish colour, a slightly fruity bouquet, and a dry, refreshing palate of finesse and harmony. Serve at 8-10°C, opened just before drinking.
For restaurants and chefs. Made for the start of the meal: the producer suggests it as an aperitif and with light appetizers, vegetables and fish risotto. It suits raw vegetables with dips, seafood risotto and grilled courgettes. Its freshness keeps it lively alongside fried starters.
For specialty and Italian stores. A light, refreshing white with a name that is easy to remember, suited to aperitivo and summer. Verdeca is still little known outside Puglia, which makes it a small discovery at an everyday price. It pairs well with olives, taralli and other aperitivo snacks in a gift or party basket.
