Description
Primitivo from the Tinente line, the everyday range of Marulli, made in steel from Guyot-trained vines.
Tinente Primitivo is a Salento IGP from 100% Primitivo grown around Copertino. After pressing, the must macerates on the skins for 10 days at 24-26°C, and the wine ages in stainless steel tanks. The producer describes a red-purple colour with garnet highlights, red fruit and carob on the nose, and a soft palate with good persistence. Serve at 18°C.
For restaurants and chefs. A Primitivo at house-wine cost that keeps the softness guests expect from the grape. The producer pairs it with elaborate first courses, meat roasts and cheeses, so lasagne, ragù and roast pork are natural partners. It is a dependable red to pour by the glass every day.
For specialty and Italian stores. Customers already ask for Primitivo by name, and Tinente brings it to an accessible price for repeat purchase. It suits weekday dinners and barbecues and is an easy add-on to pasta and tomato sauces. The Tinente line covers red, rosé and white, so the store can present a coherent family of labels.
