Organic white artichoke sauce, creamy and tomato-free.
This is a white sauce, made without tomato. Fresh organic artichokes are cleaned and kept in water and lemon to stop them darkening, then cut and added to a base of onion and garlic in organic extra virgin olive oil. During cooking part of the sauce is blended, so the texture is creamy with pieces of artichoke left whole. The sauce is jarred and pasteurised. The declared ingredients are organic artichokes, organic extra virgin olive oil, organic onion, organic parsley, organic garlic and salt. The colour is a light grey-green, and the taste is delicate, with the full aroma of artichoke.
