Rocket (61%, Italian origin) with the decisive, slightly bitter taste of the Salento leaf, freshened with freshly squeezed lemon juice (5%) and lemon peel, and rounded by toasted pumpkin seeds in extra virgin olive oil. It is a pesto made without cheese, pine nuts or garlic. No preservatives, additives or colourings.
For restaurants and chefs. Toss with pasta and a grating of pecorino, spread on bruschetta, or serve with grilled chicken breast, fish fillets and potato salad, all suggestions of the producer. The lemon makes it a good partner for seafood. It gives the menu a vegan pesto with a citrus edge.
For specialty and Italian stores. Rocket pesto is a fresh alternative to basil pesto for customers who already know Genovese. It is vegan and made without cheese, which opens it to more diets. Pair it with pasta, crackers or a fish counter purchase.
