Description
La Piccantissima: the farmhouse chili ‘conserva’ of Salento.
Strong and tangy like the ‘conserva amara’ once made on sunny July terraces, this is a reduction of tomato, red pepper and chili (12% fresh chili plus 2% dried), with extra virgin olive oil, onion and salt. The producer calls it the noblest seasoning of farmhouse cooking. No preservatives, additives or colourings.
For restaurants and chefs. A spoon lifts any dish: stir it into tomato sauces, legume soups and minestre, or serve it with roast meat, burgers, sausages and skewers. It makes a fiery base for panini and a condiment for pizza and focaccia. Use it as a house chili condiment on the table.
For specialty and Italian stores. Chili lovers are loyal buyers who look for heat with a story, and this one comes from Salento farmhouse tradition. The 12% fresh chili on the label tells them what to expect. It pairs with ‘nduja and spicy salami at the deli counter and suits gift boxes for spicy-food fans.
