Description
The intense blend from Agro in the 750 ml bottle, sized for regular kitchen use.
Agro farms around 40 hectares of olive groves in Salento and mills its olives in Surbo, near Lecce, within a few hours of harvest. The Intense blend brings together Favolosa, Cellina, Coratina and Nociara: Coratina gives the pronounced bitterness and pungency, Favolosa fresh grassy notes, and the producer describes the taste as balanced, with medium-intense bitterness and pungency. Olives harvested in Italy, cold extracted by mechanical means only, malaxed at no more than 27 °C and stored under nitrogen. Dark cylindrical glass bottle.
For restaurants and chefs. In a kitchen that finishes dishes with raw oil, the 750 ml format keeps the cost per service under control. Its strength suits orecchiette with cime di rapa, fave e cicoria, grilled lamb or a tomato bruschetta. Use it raw or at the very end of cooking, because heat flattens the pepper that makes this oil worth choosing. For frying and everyday cooking, the Mild blend from the same producer is the softer partner.
For specialty and Italian stores. For customers who cook with olive oil every day and like a peppery finish, 750 ml is the format they come back for. Puglia is Italy’s largest olive oil region, which many shoppers already know, and Coratina is one of its best-known varieties. Place it beside the 250 ml bottle of the same oil: the small one for trying, the large one for the repeat purchase. It fits naturally in a basket with dried pasta, pulses and preserved vegetables.
Specs: 750 ml, case of 12, shelf life 18 months, Puglia (Italy).
