Description
A 300 g pack of capunti, the rustic shell shape of southern Italy, in organic, mycotoxin-free durum wheat.
Two ingredients, organic durum wheat semolina and water, from native wheat varieties that certified farms grow in Puglia and Basilicata. Pasta Orobio in Altamura bronze-draws the dough and dries it at low temperature over long times. Laboratory checks on the semolina come before processing, and analysis finds no detectable mycotoxins in the pasta (below 20 ppb). Cooking time 13 minutes. Store in a cool, dry place.
For restaurants and chefs. With about three servings of 100 g, the 300 g pack lets a kitchen trial capunti as a seasonal special: with turnip greens in winter, with courgettes and mint in summer, or with lentils for a vegetarian main. Cook for 13 minutes and finish in the pan, so the hollow of each piece fills with sauce.
For specialty and Italian stores. This smaller pack is an approachable introduction to a regional shape that many shoppers are new to. Its rustic look stands out in gift boxes built around Puglia. A short note at the shelf, perfect with vegetables and legumes in the producer’s words, helps it sell.
Format guidance: the 300 g pack is the retail and trial size. The 500 g pack gives kitchens a lower cost per portion.
