Description
Bronze-drawn spaghettoni in a 300 g pack, from organic wheat of Puglia and Basilicata.
Only organic durum wheat semolina and water go into this pasta. The wheat is grown by certified farms in Puglia and Basilicata from native varieties, and Pasta Orobio in Altamura dries the bronze-drawn strands slowly at low temperature. Laboratory checks on the semolina precede processing, and the pasta shows no detectable mycotoxins (below 20 ppb). Cooking time 12 minutes. Store in a cool, dry place.
For restaurants and chefs. A 300 g pack covers roughly three plates of 100 g, useful for testing spaghettoni on a tasting menu or as a chef’s special. Pair them with a bold sauce: cacio e pepe with plenty of black pepper, tomato with ‘nduja, or garlic, oil and chilli with breadcrumbs. Allow the full 12 minutes and finish in the pan with some cooking water.
For specialty and Italian stores. For food-savvy shoppers, the smaller pack is an invitation to compare spaghettoni with regular spaghetti at home. Its thicker shape stands out next to the more familiar Orobio formats and encourages a second pack in the basket. The organic and mycotoxin-free claims give staff a clear answer at the counter.
Format guidance: the 300 g pack suits specialty retail and small kitchens. The 500 g pack lowers the cost per portion for regular use.
