Description
Sorrisini: small, cheerful pasta for soups, pasta salads and light dishes.
The producer describes them as “piccoli e allegri”, for soups, pasta salads and light dishes. The recipe is organic durum wheat semolina and water. Native wheat varieties come from certified farms in Puglia and Basilicata; the producer, based in Altamura, bronze-draws the pasta and dries it slowly at low temperature. The semolina is laboratory-tested before processing, and the finished pasta has no mycotoxins above detection level (below 20 ppb). Cooking time 10 minutes. Store in a cool, dry place.
For restaurants and chefs. Sorrisini suit a vegetable minestrone, a summer salad with tomatoes and basil, or a quick dish with butter and parmigiano. Their playful shape is a good fit for children’s menus. Cook for 10 minutes and, for salads, cool them quickly with a little olive oil. The 500 g pack and a 24-month shelf life make them a cost-effective base.
For specialty and Italian stores. The smiling shape is an instant conversation starter and appeals to families shopping for children. Together with the organic and mycotoxin-free claims, it gives parents a pasta they are happy to buy again. Place it near soup ingredients or children’s food to encourage impulse purchases.
Format guidance: the 500 g pack covers kitchens and families. The 300 g pack suits first purchase and gift baskets.
