Description
Large ridged pennoni in a 300 g pack, from organic durum wheat of Puglia and Basilicata.
Organic durum wheat semolina and water are the only ingredients. Pasta Orobio of Altamura works with native wheat varieties from certified farms in Puglia and Basilicata, bronze-draws the pasta and dries it slowly at low temperature. The semolina is checked in the laboratory before processing, and analysis finds no detectable mycotoxins (below 20 ppb). Cooking time 10 minutes. Store in a cool, dry place.
For restaurants and chefs. In a smaller kitchen, the 300 g pack makes about three plates of 100 g, a good size for a weekly special built on one bold sauce. Try pennoni with sausage and porcini, with a rich tomato and aubergine sauce, or baked in individual dishes with provola. Cook 10 minutes, or a little less when the pasta goes on to the oven.
For specialty and Italian stores. The 300 g pack lets shoppers discover an unusual shape without committing to a large pack. Displayed with the more familiar Orobio shapes, it adds variety to the range and encourages a second pack in the same basket. The organic and mycotoxin-free claims give staff a ready answer when customers ask what sets it apart.
Format guidance: the 300 g pack is sized for retail discovery and small kitchens. The 500 g pack lowers the cost per portion for regular use.
