Description
Fiorellini: small flower-shaped pastina for broths and velvety soups.
The producer describes them as delicate and refined, “perfetti per brodi e vellutate”. Pasta Orobio makes this pasta in Altamura with organic durum wheat semolina and water only, from native wheat varieties grown by certified farms in Puglia and Basilicata. The pasta is bronze-drawn and dried slowly at low temperature. The semolina is checked in the laboratory before processing, and the pasta shows no mycotoxins detectable by specific analysis (below 20 ppb). Cooking time 6 minutes, according to the producer. Store in a cool, dry place.
For restaurants and chefs. Fiorellini add a finishing touch to clear broths, consommé and vegetable veloutés, where the flower shape shows in the bowl. Cook them in the broth just before service, following the producer’s 6 minutes, so each piece stays distinct. They also suit children’s menus and light starters. A 24-month shelf life keeps them on hand all year.
For specialty and Italian stores. Fiorellini have a gentle, decorative look that appeals to families and to customers buying for children. They are a natural companion to stock, broth and soup ingredients on the same shelf. The organic and mycotoxin-free claims matter to parents who read the label.
