Caffè Sardella is a historic coffee roastery in the heart of Catania, Sicily, founded in 1911 by Calogero Sardella. It roasts espresso blends of Arabica and Robusta and sells them as beans, ground coffee, pods and compatible capsules.
Caffè Sardella is a true love story with coffee, born in Sicily in 1911 in a traditional roastery in the heart of Catania. It was then that Calogero Sardella took over “Sardella, The Catanese Coffee Company” and began roasting the blends that still carry the family name today, in the roastery on Via Alessi.
Roasting remains the heart of the business. Caffè Sardella combines artisanal roasting with modern technology for roasting and packaging. Its Aromatica blend brings together Brazilian Santos Arabica and Robusta from Côte d’Ivoire, Vietnam and India, with Arabica prevailing, for a sweet, delicate and aromatic cup. The blend for pods and capsules, 70% South American Arabica and 30% African Robusta, is spicier and more intense.
The range covers every way of making espresso: whole beans in 1 kg bags, Espresso Casa ground coffee in 250 g and 500 g packs, American Coffee, paper pods and capsules compatible with the most common machines. New products such as KIKKO and CHOCO MOKA have joined the family over the years.
