Description
A 300 g pack of strozzapreti, twisted pasta from organic wheat of Puglia and Basilicata.
Two ingredients, organic durum wheat semolina and water, from native wheat varieties that certified farms grow in Puglia and Basilicata. Pasta Orobio in Altamura bronze-draws the dough and dries it at low temperature over long times. Laboratory checks on the semolina come before processing, and analysis finds no detectable mycotoxins in the pasta (below 20 ppb). Cooking time 6 minutes, according to the producer. Store in a cool, dry place.
For restaurants and chefs. In 300 g there are roughly three servings of 100 g, enough to put strozzapreti on as a daily special without building a large stock. They work with sausage and radicchio, with a white ragù, or with tomato, pancetta and peas. With the producer’s 6-minute cooking time, the pasta is ready almost as soon as the sauce.
For specialty and Italian stores. The small pack and the curious name make strozzapreti a natural impulse buy at the pasta shelf. Customers who enjoy them can move up to the 500 g pack, and the 24-month shelf life keeps stock risk low for the store. The organic and mycotoxin-free claims fit on a simple shelf card.
Format guidance: the 300 g pack is sized for discovery and small kitchens. The 500 g pack gives a better cost per portion.
