Description
Pandora – Olio Erbaceo is an olive oil that speaks of the Sicilian tradition, generated by the combination of biancolilla olives and a small plot of cerasuola olives. The latter acted as pollinators for the biancolilla to raise its rough taste to the nth degree.
In general, the extra virgin olive oil of Cerasuola determines a medium or intense fruitiness to the nose, together with sensations of fresh grass and in some cases of tomato, artichoke and thistle
Where the ripening of the olives is more advanced, however, the fruitiness is more pronounced and a very aromatic tone of ripe tomato and thyme peeps out. The bitter and spicy taste prevails, but there is also a hint of sweetness.
Pandora’s coloring is yellow or green.
This oil preserves its gustatory qualities very well over time. Pandora has a very beneficial nutritional content for the body. It has a strong presence of beta-carotene, unsaturated fats and tocopherols which perform an effective action against blood cholesterol.
On the other hand, Cerasuola olives are also rich in vegetable fats and therefore are not very suitable for those who observe a low-calorie diet or for those suffering from arterial hypertension.
