Hemp is a herbaceous plant belonging to the Cannabinaceae family. Hemp seed flour is a perfectly balanced food in the composition of its nutrients, contributing to a complete and balanced diet.

Hemp flour has 28% protein contributing to the body’s contribution of all 8 essential amino acids; it is rich in omega 3 and omega 6, fatty acids important for our body for their antioxidant properties. Contains 20.7% fiber, 200 mg / 100 g of calcium and 980 mg / 100 g of potassium. Furthermore, hemp flour is gluten-free, making it an excellent food for celiacs and intolerant people.

Hemp flour is excellent in addition to other types of flour. You can use up to 1/3 of the total flour used. It gives a nutty taste and a golden-brown color to the doughs where it is added and in general these will be more digestible and beneficial for the stomach and intestines. In the preparation of cakes and biscuits we will halve the amount of fat (halve the dose of butter), because the flour already contains a “fat” substance: the precious and healthy Hemp Oil.
