Description
Almond flour born from the cooperation between the gorgon Heraia and one of the excellent mills of the Sicilian hinterland: Molini Riggi. From this collaboration, we have selected our organic almonds from our land and subjected them to a natural process.
The almonds are stone ground, according to an organic method, following the technique called “à la ferté” which makes the flour homogeneous and fine, making it fully appreciate the properties of the almond
Thanks to this base we are able to make an organic pasta of almonds and ancient Sicilian grains.
The inspiration to the myth is dedicated to the goddess Demeter. She Greek divinity, daughter of Cronus and Rhea, protector of nature, crops and crops. Famous is the influence of her in the Greek tradition in the various mythological tales. The most famous of these is the “Abduction of Proserpina”, according to which her daughter Proseprina was kidnapped by Hades (dementra’s brother) unleashing the goddess’ wrath and subsequent drought in the Greek world.
Demeter’s wrath was appeased thanks to the intervention of Zeus, who managed to reconcile the two brothers with the pact that Proserpina would live for 6 months with her husband and another 6 months with her mother. From this episode was born, according to the Greek myth, the origin of the alternation of the seasons.
